Me: "Why don't you write neatly at school like you do at T.OT Camp?" Student: "Because my teacher doesn't care." I've heard this time and time again! There is a phenomenon called "Controlled Stimulus"--I have become that stimulus or prompt for the students to write neater! So what is Writing Lab? This is essentially a way for students to ensure that they are applying their skills to school homework and projects! Campers will be able to bring homework and/or projects to camp, and I will be able to assist them with finishing it legibly. I will also help them edit their assignments for improved cohesion! They will have time at the end to engage in the sensorimotor obstacle course of the day! FOCUS: + Tackling problem letters that impact legibility + Sentence pragmatic lessons (e.g. casing, spacing, letter placement, punctuation) + Article Analysis + Peer Editing INFORMATION: + Time/Dates: Schedule one to three 45 minute sessions each week! Each session is $45 per hour! There will be a 3% service charge when using a credit card. Times: Tuesdays: - 2:30-3:30 PM Thursdays: - 2:30 - 3:30 PM - 5:45 - 7:00 PM Saturdays: - 7:15 - 8:15 AM - 10:45 to 11:45 AM + Sign up for one or multiple days and time slots each week! + Cost: $45 per 45 minutes + Children Eligible: 6 to 12 years old (Pre-Kinder to 6th Grade) + Prerequisites: Child must have had at least two camp sessions with me. Child must show behavioral readiness, is able to follow multi-step instructions, and is independent with toileting self-help skills. REFUND POLICY: Refunds will not be given after 1/10/25. Instead, credit will be allotted to be applied towards a future camp.
