A 12-Week (30 Minutes) camp geared for our T.OTs (TK, K, 1st Grade children) who have started laying down the foundations for handwriting, and are ready to explore all there is to launch into the next steps of their academic journey! This course builds upon the foundations by focusing on academic based fine motor/visual motor skills like: - Remediating Uppercase Letter Formation - Learning Lowercase Letter Formation - Strengthening Muscles for a More Refined Pencil Grasp - Improving Scissor Skills Accuracy - More Complex Multi-Step Crafts Every activity is taught with a focus on a multi-sensory approach to learning using materials we have at home! WHO: Appropriate for children (4.75 to 7.5 years old) who are in school. - 1 Adult to 6 T.OTs per group. - Each group is run by a licensed/registered pediatric occupational therapist. WHAT: The next step in Handwriting development (e.g. remediating uppercase letters and learning lowercase letters) using the Handwriting Without Tear's curriculum workbook. WHEN: 1/23/23 to 4/24/23 (Monday) || 3:30-4:00 PM 30 Minutes per Session **NO SESSIONS: The weeks of President's Day and Easter. WHERE: Online. WHY: To set each child up for success by laying strong foundations as they blast off into their academic journey! Rate: $25 per 30 minutes. WAYS TO SAVE: (1) Payment options may be available, (2) Early Bird Discount, and (3) Group Discount (e.g. sibling, friends). Inquire for more details. Materials: Must have access to printer. IMPORTANT-- PLEASE READ: A mandatory 15 minute screener will be held prior to the start of the camp for $15. If the child is determined to be a good fit for the program, the money will be applied to the remaining cost of the program. If it is determined that this program may not be the right fit, and if no other programs available are appropriate at this time, then the $15 will be applied towards the individual consultation that will be provided after the screener for tips and strategies to work on at home.
