A Handwriting Remediation Camp designed to assist your lower-grade students in improving their messy
Service Description
A 4-week, twice a week (60 Minutes each session) camp geared for our 5 to 8 year old campers who have MESSY handwriting! This course is an intensive approach utilizing occupational therapy inspired interventions to: - Analyze hand strength/functioning via grasp and dexterity abilities - Strategically target problem areas in a methodical fashion to improve legibility - Offer recommendations on accommodations (e.g. adapted pencils, papers) to help set the child up for success. We start each session with a sensorimotor obstacle course to assist with regulation and strengthening! Children thrive when taught in a multi-sensory approach to learning! WHO: Appropriate for Children (5 to 8 years old ) who are in school. - Ratio: 1 to 3 Adults to 13 Students - Each group is run by a licensed/registered pediatric occupational therapist. (However, she is not operating as any one child's private OT). WHAT: A hybrid of using the Handwriting Without Tears book and the curriculum created by Ms. Jennell (@ot.umma) to target: - Problem Letters - Spacing in between letters within a word - Spacing between words in a sentence. - Letter placement on wide-ruled or college-ruled paper WHEN: Tuesday & Thursday (6/10/25 - 7/3/25) || 1:30 - 2:30 PM (8 Sessions: 2 times per week, for 60 minutes per session). WHERE: 14471 Chambers Rd. #100, Tustin, CA, 92780 WHY: To set each child up for success by re-establishing strong foundations as they blast off into their academic journey! Rate: $60 per hour. - Cost Breakdown: After the $150 initial deposit at registration, each session will then equate to $47.50 per hour. WAYS TO SAVE: (1) Pay Up Front via Zelle - $20 0ff Mandatory $30 materials fee. IMPORTANT: A mandatory 30 minute screener will be held prior to the start of the camp for $60. If at the screener it is determined that the camps are not an appropriate fit, then your $150 deposit minus the screener fee ($60) will be refunded.
Cancellation Policy
T.OT Camp bookings can be cancelled up until 30 days prior to the start of camps. Camp deposits will be forfeited or can be applied to a future session/camp depending on the reason if cancelled less than 30 days. For individual sessions, cancellations must be made with at least 24 hours notice. If less than 24 hours, the $150 deposit paid will be forfeited. IMPORTANT: 1) Jennell Chang is a licensed/registered occupational therapist bringing OT strategies to all. She is not operating as anyone's private OT. 2. If emergent situations were to arise (e.g. natural disasters, Ms. Jennell falling ill/quarantining), distance learning (online classes) will be held. By continuing, you are agreeing to these terms.
