Was it an asteroid, volcanic eruption, or an ice age?? Come along, campers, as we go back in time to learn & write about the dinosaurs that once roamed the Earth! FOCUS: + Tackling problem letters that impact legibility + Sentence pragmatic lessons (e.g. casing, spacing, letter placement, punctuation) + Social skills lessons to help campers improve group work abilities + Sensory regulation lessons to help with self-regulation abilities + Special Activity of the Day on DINOS: --MONDAY: Craftivity [Focus: To build hand strength and control while using scissors and glue control] --TUESDAY: Cookie Craft [Focus: To use kid-safe kitchen tools for fine motor strengthening] --WEDNESDAY: Water Color [Focus: to grade hand force to paint] --THURSDAY: LEGO STEM [Focus: to motor plan and build following step by step plans. *Children will not be taking LEGOS home*.] --FRIDAY: STEAM Activity [Focus: to follow multi-step directions and apply social skills lessons to work together as a group.] INFORMATION: + Date: June 17, 2024 - June 21, 2024 + Time: 9 AM - 12:30 PM + Cost: $425 + $9.25 credit card fee + Mandatory Materials Cost: $30 (Paid in Venmo, cash, or check on first day of camp) + Early Drop Offs: 8:30 AM start ($50 per week) + Extended Pick Ups: 1:15 PM pick up ($30 per week) + Staff: 1 licensed/registered pediatric occupational therapist + 1 trained behavioral interventionist assistant (2 Staff : 8 Children). + Children Eligible: 5.5 years old to 8.5 years old. (Graduating Kinders to Third Graders) + Prerequisites: Child must show behavioral readiness, is able to follow multi-step instructions, and is independent with toileting self-help skills. + Mandatory zoom or facetime screener is enforced to ensure child meets the prerequisites.
