Letter Placement is the ability to anchor letters to the line provided! It is stated that for students 1st grade and up, anchoring letters within 1/16th-inch deviation from the line (above and below it) is considered the most ideal for both legibility and motor accuracy abilities.  
 
To help them understand the concept, I say:
 
"Make sure you start your letters from the top and stop at the ground/line. If your letters go underneath the line, the zombie (eraser) will gobble it up! The only letters that the zombie is allergic to are: g, j, p, q, and y!" 
 
Tip: Draw a zombie on an eraser to make things extra fun!
